DeeAnna Hiett

DeeAnna Hiett, a native Texan, began her training with Pamela Erwin at the Dance Factory. After receiving a scholarship from the Alvin Ailey American Dance Center, she joined the Repertory Ensemble. Ms. Hiett joined the Jamison Project, under the direction of Judith Jamison as a charter member, later returning as a member of the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theatre, and recently performed with Deeply Rooted under the direction of Kevin lega Jeff. She has participated in various commercial works ranging from an American Express industrial to an Issey Miyake fashion show, as well as appearing as a guest artist with various companies. In Kansas City, Ms. Hiett has assisted and choreographed for the Lyric Opera and the Coterie Theater and performed with the Kansas City Ballet & the Lyric Opera.
