Rodni Williams is a native of Miami, Florida. He received his dance training at the University of Miami, The Dance Theatre of Harlem, and The Ailey School. A graduate of Adelphi University with a BFA in dance, he has taught and performed with a number of schools and companies throughout the United States and Europe such as The Ailey School, the Joffrey Ballet School, Dayton Contemporary Dance Company, Garth Fagan Dance and Deeply Rooted, among others. Mr. Williams has worked as a teaching artist for the Kansas City Friends of Alvin Ailey, The Alvin Ailey Dance Foundation Arts-in-Education programs and The Ailey School. Mr. Williams has appeared in the theatrical productions including Fame, Dreamgirls and The Wiz. He has been an AileyCamp instructor in Kansas City and was associate director of CAS/AileyCamp. Rodni is an assistant professor of dance at the Conservatory of Music and Dance at UMKC and was an original member of the Wylliams/Henry Danse Theatre.
